Overview:
The Planning Division manages land use, development, and compliance within the Village. The division processes land use cases such as zone changes, conditional and designated uses, variances, and other land use actions, as well as subdivisions ranging from summary plats to major subdivisions. Planning reviews development plans (building permits) to ensure projects meet zoning and regulatory standards. Additionally, it administers floodplain management to reduce risks and manages the Village Geographic Information Systems (GIS) services for mapping and analysis to support effective community planning.
