Overview:

The Village of Los Lunas Community Development Department includes the Planning and Code Enforcement & Animal Control Divisions. The two divisions manage different items throughout the Village but regularly work together to benefit our community. The Planning Division intakes and reviews development and floodplain permits and assists with land use applications, which go through the public hearing process heard and decided by the Planning and Zoning Commission and/or the Village Council. The Code Enforcement Division is responsible for enforcing several sections of the Village of Los Lunas Municipal Code, such as the zoning ordinance, animal control ordinance, waste and stormwater ordinance, and others in addition to responding to code complaints and working through the violation process to obtain voluntary compliance for code violations.
