About the Badlands Drive-In
The Badlands Drive-In is a single-screen, permanent drive-in movie theater located in Los Lunas, New Mexico, approximately 30 minutes south of Albuquerque. Built and operated by the Village of Los Lunas Recreation Division, this unique venue is proudly owned and managed by the local government.
Constructed in 2020 on the site of the Village’s former BMX track, the Badlands Drive-In features a large permanent screen, digital projection, and a vehicle capacity of approximately 100 cars. Although construction was completed in December 2020, the drive-in’s grand opening was delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions in Valencia County. It officially opened to the public in February 2021.
Admission is $15 per vehicle, and tickets can be purchased online in advance when available. Guests are welcome to bring their food and drinks; however, alcohol and pets are not permitted. Additionally, UTVs and ATVs are prohibited on the property.
