1. Can I chat online with library staff?: Yes, you can text 505-376-4008. If you submit a chat after-hours, you will get a response during regular library hours.

3. Where is the library located?: The library is located at 460 Main St. NE. That is one block west of McDonald’s and across from the fire station and Los Lunas Middle School.

5. Can I send a fax to the library?: Yes, you can send a fax to 505-352-3582. It is $1.00 a page to send or receive faxes.

6. How do I get a library card?: Library cards are available for free. Photo identification and proof of mailing address must be provided for verification purposes. Lost library cards are replaced for a $2.00 fee. If you haven’t had a card with us before you can sign-up online here, https://www.loslunaspubliclibrary.org/#section=obrsignup Once you complete this form contact the library to get information on the next steps of the verification process.

7. How do I set a pin on my library account?: Visit the circulation desk or call 505-839-3850 for help in resetting your pin.

8. How long can I check items out for?: Loan limits are for 21 days with a maximum of 20 items per library family card. Individual cards are allowed 10 a maximum of 10 items, videos and DVDs are checked out for 7 days.

9. Does the library charge overdue fines?: The library charges $0.15 per day per item on ALL library materials.

10. Can I use a computer at the library?: The library has computer access using your library card, if you don’t have a card in good standing you can visit the circulation desk, provide identification and receive a guest pass for one hour of computer use for the day.

12. Can I make copies at the library?: Yes, please visit the circulation desk and staff will assist you to make copies. The library charges. $0.25 a page for copies.

13. Does the library provide notary services?: Yes, the library does offer notary services. Visit the circulation desk or call 505-839-3850 for more information.

14. Does the library have a digital library?: Yes, the library offers access to Overdrive for ebooks and audiobooks. Visit https://nm.overdrive.com/ You will need your library card number and pin. You can also access this service using the Instant Digital card feature on this page if your billing address is in 87031 zip code. You will simply sign-up using your cell phone number.

17. What if the library doesn’t have a book I want?: You can turn in an interlibrary loan request form at the circulation desk. Staff will request this item from the state library.

18. Can I make a monetary donation to the library?: Yes, you can make a monetary donation through the Friends of the Los Lunas Public Library & Museum of Heritage & Arts.
